Brian has been working as a physical therapist for over 20 years. He holds a Doctor of Physical Therapy degree from the Institute of Health and a physical therapy degree from the University of Connecticut. Brian’s other degrees include a masters degree from Western Michigan University in sports medicine as well as a bachelors degree from Eastern Connecticut State University in Biology.
Brian’s expertise lies in the evaluation and treatment of orthopedic conditions with all athletes with specific training dealing with golfers, dancers, athletes, and runners.
Brian served as a Physical Therapist on the LPGA & PGA Tours from 2000-2004 as well as the U.S. Solheim Cup Therapist in 2002 in Edina, Minnesota and 2003 in Malmo, Sweden.
Brian currently serves on the board of directors for the Connecticut Dance Alliance and is a member of the International Association for Dance Medicine & Science. He also previously worked as a physical therapist for the Hartford Ballet.
Suzanne received her Doctorate of Physical Therapy from Massachusetts General Hospital Institute of Health Professions and has been practicing within the greater Hartford area since 2001. In addition to her skilled knowledge of orthopedic and sports physical therapy, Osbourne has extensive experience with vestibular therapy and balance disorders. Her specialties include physical therapy for Parkinson’s Disease, Multiple Sclerosis (MS) and cerebrovascular accident (CVA). Osbourne’s approach to patient care includes a strong emphasis on partnering with her patients to address those limitations that interrupt everyday function.
Marisa recently graduated with her Doctor of Physical Therapy degree from Springfield College and is joining the Magna Physical Therapy and Dance Medicine team as a full time physical therapist. Marisa is from Hadley, MA and has been dancing since age 5 including classical ballet training. She completed a minor in dance at Springfield College. Other interests include integrating body-mind connections, developmental patterns, and movement therapy into rehabilitation.
Roxann began her massage therapy career in 2004; she is a National Certified Massage Therapist and a member of the American Massage Therapy Association. She has over 2000 hours of training in massage and bodywork experience and specializes in integrative therapeutic massage. This includes focusing on specific issues while addressing whole body stress relief and the well-being of her clients.
Roxann delivers a style of bodywork that combines a number of modalities including Deep Tissue, Swedish massage, Myofascial release, Trigger point, Precision NeuromuscularTherapy and Sport s massage therapy. Her focus is to restore optimum function for her clients and to provide movement throughout the body. She has collaborated with chiropractors and has experience with on-site corporate chair massage. Roxann whole heartily believes in giving back to her community with organizations as Walk For Life Breast Cancer Awareness, Ride for MS, Wisconsin Triathlon, UCONN Breast Cancer survival, Autism Awareness, and Special Olympics.

Working with you one-on-one, Marni will develop an innovative, results-driven training program based upon your individual fitness ability and personal goals. Throughout the course of your training sessions Marni will monitor your growth and development, and will update the progression of your program to continually motivate you to move to the next level in order to achieve your personal goals.
Erica graduated magna cum laude with Honors from the Hartt School at the University of Hartford, with a BFA in Dance. Erica grew up dancing a variety of styles, training as both a competition and a classical ballet dancer. She toured with the Albany Berkshire Ballet, and currently dances with local companies in the Hartford area. Erica is also a freelance choreographer, and enjoys collaborating with local composers.
Amy has over 20 years of dance training in a variety of dance forms such as classical ballet, Graham, and Limon techniques, improvisation and Gaga. After graduating cum laude with a BFA in Dance Performance from the Hartt School of Music, she spent 3 months as a work/study dance student at the Henny Jurriëns Foundation in the Netherlands. She moved to New York City where she spent time as a freelance dancer, dance teacher, and 2 ½ years working with the acclaimed Dance for PD program at the Mark Morris Dance Group, which offers dance classes for people in the Parkinson’s community. Inspired by how dance can heal, she is now working towards her Masters in Clinical Mental Health Counseling with a Specialization in Dance/ Movement Therapy from Lesley University as a low-residency student.
Karen is an LPGA Teaching & Club Professional and Assistant Golf Professional at Simsbury Farms Golf Course, West Simsbury, Connecticut. Karen is a Frankly Certified Putting Instructor and Fitter, a Titleist Fitting Partner and a Mizuno Fitter, and is currently working on her LPGA Class A certification and her National Council on Strength & Fitness personal training certification. Karen’s philosophy on teaching embraces the LPGA model believing that the golf swing can be adapted to “every body” regardless of the student’s skill level and physical capabilities. She believes that golf is a life-long sport and that physical fitness and body awareness are vital aspects to achieving one’s golf goals. In addition to golf, Karen is an avid tennis play and enjoys kayaking, skiing, biking, cooking and baking. She has two daughters, Annie and Jackie.
Brianne graduated cum laude from DeSales University with a B.A. in Dance and B.S. in Psychology. At DeSales University she was vice president of XTE (Dance Honors Society), as well as a member of the International Honors Society in Psychology. Brianne is also a certified Power Pilates Instructor. She is currently studying at Sacred Heart University pursuing a Doctorate of Physical Therapy Degree.
Katie grew up in Rocky Mount, North Carolina, where she trained in classical ballet for 9 years at Raleigh School of Ballet. She attended University of Hartford, The Hartt School, and graduated magna cum laude with a BFA in dance pedagogy in May 2016. She has taught dance as well as reading and comprehension skills at a Children’s Defense Fund Freedom School program in Rocky Mount, NC, and ballet and creative movement at the (CREC) Ana Grace Academy summer school program in Avon, CT. This summer she taught contemporary dance and choreographed and staged an original work at The Nutmeg Conservatory for the Arts. She is currently a member of Hartford dance ensemble The Now Unboxing Project, and is on faculty at Ballet Theatre Company in West Hartford, CT, and Fusion Fitness and Dance in Wallingford, CT.
Dr. David Burstein is a board certified Orthopedic Surgeon. He obtained his undergraduate degree from Massachusetts Institute of Technology with a degree in Electrical Engineering and his medical degree from Tufts University School of Medicine. He completed his Orthopedic Surgery Residency at Hartford Hospital and The University of Connecticut Health Center. He then completed a Fellowship in Sports Medicine at TRIA Orthopedic Center in Minneapolis, Minnesota.
Dr. Burstein entered private practice with Farmington Valley Orthopedic Associates in 1988. He specializes in sports medicine but sees patients with all orthopedic problems and conditions and performs all types of orthopedic surgery with a special interest in arthroscopic surgery of the knee and shoulder. He has served as the team physician for University of Hartford for over 20 years and provides coverage for local schools such as Avon Old Farms School. Dr. Burstein has privileges at St. Francis Hospital, Hartford Hospital and Connecticut Surgery Center in Hartford.
Dr. Clinton Jambor is a board certified and fellowship trained orthopedic surgeon who entered private practice with Farmington Valley Orthopedic Associates in 2005. He specializes in sports medicine and arthroscopic surgery with an emphasis on shoulder and knee problems. After obtaining his medical degree from the Technion University he completed a surgical internship at New York University Medical Center followed by an orthopaedic surgery residency at Stony Brook University Hospital in New York. He continued his training with a fellowship in sports medicine at the Cleveland Clinic in Ohio. During his fellowship he provided medical coverage for the Cleveland Browns, Cleveland Indians, and the Cleveland Cavaliers. Dr. Jambor is the medical director at Connecticut Surgery Center. He is on the medical staff at St. Francis Hospital, Hartford Hospital and Johnson Memorial Hospital.
Taryn Brandt, M.A. is the owner of ASPIRE Sport and Performance Psychology LLC and is a sport and performance psychology consultant and mental coach. Growing up as a competitive figure skater, dancer, and recreational gymnast, Taryn has been involved in sports and the performing arts for her whole life. After a year long ankle injury tested her confidence, Taryn chose to pursue a career where she could help athletes to overcome their own mental blocks and discover their own path to success and achievement. She obtained her Master’s degree in Sport and Performance Psychology from the University of Denver in 2012. Prior to that, she graduated with a B.A. in Psychology from the University of Hartford, where she was the student commencement speaker. She is passionate about inspiring others, sharing her relentless positivity, and listening to other athletes share their aspirations and journeys. Taryn is a member of the Applied Association of Sport Psychology and is currently a part time faculty member in the psychology department at the University of Hartford.
Kristin graduated from the University of Connecticut with a Bachelor of Science degree in Nutritional Sciences, where she was a member of the UCONN Tap Team. Kristin also owns and teaches at her dance studio, D.A.N.C.E. by Kristin in Collinsville, CT.
